Boho Prints that take you from Summer to Fall

Now that Labor Day has passed, pumpkin flavored everything is on the menu and cooler temperatures are on the horizon. Which means it is time to start thinking about updating your fall wardrobe with fresh new pieces. Since the weather will be in a transitional state for some time, it is best to invest in pieces that you can wear now while it is warm and later by layering with sweaters, jackets and boots.  Boho prints always convey a chic, relaxed vibe and the styles featured will take you beautifully from summer to fall.

Army Green Gets Girly 

Army green is one of those perfect colors that transitions beautifully between summer and fall. The luxe hue looks gorgeous with your summer tan and pairs well with soft shades like white and pink and also looks lovely in fall with shades of brown and black. While this color is often found in edgier silhouettes, I have found some feminine pieces in this chic color that offer fresh style.

Color Crush: Mustard Yellow 

Summer is coming to a close and I am trying to soak up the sweetness of these remaining days. There is always something special about summer…the long days, vacations, out of town friends and family…things just feel more relaxed.  While the weather in Miami is warm year round, there is still a seasonality…things that indicate seasons are changing and as I think about what to wear now through early Fall, this mustard yellow color is one of my favorite trends. I am seeing it in clothing, accessories, jewelry. These styles below should give you some inspiration on how to wear this fresh color.

Soft Floral Prints

When I created Style & Life, I wanted to create a place that inspired beautiful moments.  I find that when I incorporate lovely details throughout my day, I tend to feel happier. When it comes to clothing it is hard to select a favorite look or trend, but there is something special about floral prints.  Wearing them makes me feel more feminine, elegant and graceful.  These soft floral prints are perfect to wear during these late summer days.

Casual Chambray Style

While throwing on yoga pants and running out the door is the easiest way to run around on the weekend, I inevitably run into a former colleague or someone else I wish I wouldn’t have. So, unless I am truly working out, I try to look a touch more pulled together for weekend errands and going to the park.

Bright Embroidered Boho Styles

Things have been super summery on the blog the past couple of weeks…from eyelet to ice cream sandwiches, and we are loving it! Another trend that looks pretty in theses warm temperatures are bright embroidered boho styles.  They complement a tan nicely and I like stying them with white bottoms, straw accessories and gold jewelry.

Summer Accessory Edit 

Need a few fun items to keep your warm weather ensembles fresh? This summer accessory edit features a small selection of styles that are incredibly versatile and will give your looks a pop with their unique styling and details.  It is rare I buy an item that can only be worn with one outfit.  I like to use items often and these are no exception…they should go with many items you already have in your closet!

The wooden Cult Gaia bag has been a favorite of mine all year and continues to be my go-to bag for the season.
